Clear your mind with this guided "white board" mediation technique

Meditation with every day objects and activities help ground your meditation - here we focus on using a white board to create a blank slate for your mind to create.

Hi and welcome to The Journey Never Ends.

Today we're going to talk a little bit about meditation.

I've heard people say, wow, you meditate.

I need to do that.

I need to learn how to meditate.

And I'm here to let you guys know that meditation is actually unlearning and

Meditation is amazing because it's free.

You can do it whenever you want.

And it's very impactful for your mind, your body, and your spirit.

I started doing meditation techniques when I was about 12.

From there, I also got into a yoga practice, which also focused a lot on meditation.

I even went to a temple and learned to meditate from, I guess he was a monk.

I don't know what he was.

But from this guy in a temple, he taught me how to meditate.

And again, he told me the same thing.

He says, this is turning off.

It's unlearning versus learning.

So I'm going to guide you through a basic meditation.

And I hope you enjoy it.

So take a deep breath.

Inhale.

Hold.

Exhale.

Slowly, a little slower than your inhale.

Inhale.

Hold.

And exhale a little bit slower than your inhale.

One more time, inhale, hold, and exhale a little slower than your inhale.

Now, if your eyes aren't closed, go ahead and close your eyes and do a little scan of your body.

How do you feel now?

hopefully better than before.

So now that you have finished your breaths,

I want you to visualize yourself walking into a huge warehouse.

Imagine it like an Amazon distribution center, enormous.

You walk up to the front door, you open the door in this warehouse,

is completely empty.

It's one huge room and it's completely empty.

The wall that is a jar from you is a white whiteboard.

And visualize yourself just walking towards this white wall, this white whiteboard.

As you walk towards it,

visualize yourself pushing all of the clutter in your mind away.

You're going to be getting thoughts coming up of, you know, I need to go get groceries.

What am I going to do about the problem I have at work?

And you can physically visualize yourself knocking these thoughts out like volleyballs.

If there's a

Just acknowledge the volleyball and acknowledge the thought and push it aside.

And keep on your journey walking down this long, large warehouse to the whiteboard.

As you see yourself closer and closer,

you suddenly realize that the only thing you can see is a blank wall,

is this blank white wall.

Think of this as your mind.

your mind is now blank.

Sit in front of this white whiteboard,

this white wall,

until you have a sense of peace,

until all of those thoughts that were bombarding you

dissipate until you can focus on the blankness of the wall clear your mind your

mind is a blank slate I also want to remind you guys to breathe and you don't have

to breathe in and hold and exhale I want you to be intentional but not forced and

when you inhale

Focus on the sensation of the air.

Focus on the sensation of it going to the back of your throat, of it expanding your lungs.

The more you focus on the sensation that's going on,

the easier it's going to be to eliminate the clutter in your head.

So the first time you do this,

you might just get inside the warehouse and you might get scared and walk away.

But try again and try again.

Maybe the next time you get into the warehouse and you fight off a couple thoughts

and then you get overwhelmed and go back.

When in doubt, focus on your breathing.

Your breath is oxygen.

Your breath is life.

It feeds your cells.

So let's say you've done this many times and you were able to master the

visualization and the focus.

When you get to that blank slate in your mind, I want you to ask the question for yourself.

And you can even vocalize it.

I think that's even more helpful.

Ask the question of the universe of whatever you're thinking.

And listen to the silence.

The silence can be very loud.

Well,

that's all I wanted to talk about today is just guide you guys through a very

simple meditation to clear your mind,

to listen to the silence,

to really help hone in on where your mind is in order to utilize your mind to

create the world you want to see around you.

meditation is fundamental in visualization.

Meditation is foundational for quieting your mind to allow for deep visualization.

And again, as we have learned, visualization allows you to create

and impose your will on the universe so that you can create the life you're looking

for and overcome any obstacle.

That's all I wanted to talk about today.

Really appreciate y'all being here.

Have a great day and much love.
