hi and welcome to the journey never ends today we're going to talk about doing the
best you can do and how that feeds into eliminating the concept of regret hopefully
for you which raises your energy level i call this practicing excellence
And really it goes back to when I used to play soccer and my coaches would say,
leave it all on the field,
give it the best you can.
Even if we lose, you can leave the field knowing you gave it your all with no regrets and
And really how I think of it is in terms of practicing excellence is the idea that
I trust myself that at all times I do the best I can with the resources at hand.
And again,
knowing that resources change over time,
you gain knowledge,
you gain money,
you gain support systems,
et cetera.
So one of the ways I try to really engage this concept of excellence and doing the
best I can when I hit an obstacle is assuming that I can do anything,
assuming that I am capable of overcoming any obstacle and focusing specifically on
the resources that I have at that moment to be able to
to overcome that obstacle.
What resources do I have at hand within me that will enable me to overcome the
obstacle at hand in resources again,
can be knowledge,
money,
support networks, maybe some type of item in your house.
I don't know.
It depends on what kind of obstacle you're going through.
So when I do this, I try to focus and make a list.
Okay.
Why can I do this?
What enables me to be able to do this?
So for instance,
when I wanted to write a book,
which is a very overwhelming thing,
instead of saying,
I'm not an author.
I've never written a book.
This is overwhelming.
I can't do this.
I really thought about the traits that allow me to do it.
I write poems.
I have journaled a lot.
I have a lot of content.
I have experience.
I inherently want to provide a message that can help people with bipolar disorder and beyond.
I have that drive.
That is a resource for me.
And to be honest, I don't think my book is perfect.
It's definitely not perfect.
It could probably be longer.
There's probably some grammatical errors.
But I give myself grace and I trust the fact that I practice excellence,
that I do the best I can.
And quite frankly, I can't do better than the best I can with the resources at hand.
That's a fact.
So check out my book.
Let me know if you think it's perfect.
It's likely not, but it's the best I could do.
It's on Amazon and it's called Crazy Good Poems and Perspectives on Mental Health.
So when you look back at your progress, trust that you have done the best you can.
And remember that every moment there are different and new resources available to you.
You cannot look back with new resources at hand presently and say, dang, if only.
Do not look back and regret.
You need to trust yourself and be proud that you did the best you could at that
given time with the resources that you have.
Remember that your resources always change with every moment.
And even if you have the resources today,
remind yourself what resources you had when you made a decision,
when you took action.
So again,
the awesome thing about doing the best you can at all times,
aka practicing excellence,
is that in theory,
it means that you have eradicated regret from your mind and hopefully from your vocabulary.
I have always said that if I were to rediscover the English language,
I would delete the word regret in order to give it no power in our society.
I personally think this would elevate the overall energy of our collective consciousness.
This is because regret is a very low energy,
which also likes to sneak in to your mind with shame,
which is also a very negative and low energy.
In my opinion, because of how the universe is set up and the physical...
concepts of energy, I believe that you always want to admit the highest energy.
And this has to do with the law of attraction and understanding on a scientific
level as well as a metaphysical level that the energy you put out is the energy
that resonates and comes back to you.
So the highest energy is love and gratitude.
A lower and not good energy that I call as, you know, destructive energy is regret and shame.
So again, I did practice yoga.
I'm a chemist by education.
And I do believe that the law of attraction is not just hocus pocus.
It really is a scientific and metaphysical truth.
So we can talk a little bit more about the mechanics of resonance and the law of
attraction in a future episode.
But the final thing I want you guys to realize is that everyone has resources
available to them and they change at every moment.
Identify the resources that enable you to overcome obstacles.
Assume that obstacles can be overcome.
and that you are able to do your best to overcome these obstacles.
Trust yourself that you do your best and eliminate the concept of shame and regret
whenever possible to make yourself vibrate at the highest level and attract better
things to come.
You can overcome any obstacle.
So that's all I wanted to talk about today.
I appreciate you guys being here.
Have a great day.
Much love.
